Have a heart to pray? Would you consider yourself a prayer warrior? Jesus tells His disciples the significance of "coming away" from the busyness of life, and we'd do well to do the same! Join us tonight @ 7:30PM at Mark and Noella’s place to pray for the needs of those in the ministry as well as our community and beyond. Please see the Rizkallas for more information!
Do you love Christmas time, hot cocoa, and strolling through a neighborhood decked with twinkling lights? Join us tonight as we cruise around South Torrance, singing Christmas carols and sharing the love of Jesus with the community. The Bridge will not be meeting at church, and instead at 7:30PM at the Tulita Elementary School parking lot (1520 S Prospect Ave. Redondo Beach, CA 90277), adjacent to the "Candy Cane Lane" neighborhood.
If you have been coming to the Guys and Gals Small Groups, you are invited to join us for a dinner at the Madlangbayan’s house at 7:30PM! We’ll be having a potluck and reflecting on this past year as well as the Crazy Love series that we finished. For more information please see any of our Bridge leaders.
Friday night we were in the OVERFLOW room for a special talent show night! We had a fantastic turn out and there were so many gifts, talents and skills shared that encouraged us and pointed us to Jesus.
Before the show began, Cinthia announced our upcoming event for next Friday (we will not be meeting at church) but going to see Christmas lights and do some Christmas caroling.
And then the show started….with Justin Boston as our first performance. He did an original piece called WAR.
Jeremiah Gates followed, with a lovely rendition of “God is not dead.”
Faith came up and shared a touching poem about being different and looking to God for comfort.
Johnny shared a spoken word called: FAITH.
Steven performed his original song, too.
Noella sang a beautiful acapella original song.
Tai, Raven and Teayah shared a beautiful song about the Holy Spirit.
And Jess sang her original song about waiting on God.
To close out the night of performances, the missions team performed a drama called “Everything” which showcased the Enemy tempting a girl with vanity, alcohol, a guy, money, suicidal thoughts, etc, but Jesus coming in as her Savior and rescuer. It was powerful!
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do as as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
1 Peter 4:10-11 NIV
