Recap: November 4th

We had a very special worship night on Friday! We were privileged to be in the MAIN SANCTUARY and have a guest worship group visit from Calvary Ventura. Praise God for coordinating it all and creating such an encouraging night for all of us.

At 7pm we had food for the worship team and those who came early to hang out.

At 7:30pm it was time to start the worship set. Pastor Wilfredo and his team shared a few beautiful and amazing songs with us. They really set the mood for the Word of God to be shared and the Holy Spirit to move in a great way.

The sound of their voices and the music in the main sanctuary was really powerful and lovely sounding. It felt great to worship so freely in such a large space, and openly proclaim the goodness of God.

By 8:15 it was time for Anthony "T" to come up and share the first message in his series about trials, tribulations and troubles, called "The Perfect Storm." He shared from Mark chapter 4 when the disciples go on a boat with Jesus after a long day of ministry and a huge storm kicks up and frightens them. They wake Jesus in a panic and He simply calms the storm and questions the disciples faith in Him.

T encouraged us to put our trust in God, that He is in control and that He oversees every trial we are put through. T gave us four take away points:

1. Trials Reveal Our Identity (1 Peter 1:6-9)

2. Trials Do Not Change Real Peace (John 16:33)

3. Trials Build Your Character (James 1:2-4)

4. Trials Are Temporary (2 Corinthians 4:17)

After the encouraging message, we all headed back to the hang out room to finish the rest of our food! Here's a cute picture of May and her sister Diane enjoying the grub and one of the Nerida family.

It was such a blessed night overall. See you next Friday, we'll be meeting upstairs in the Kid's Sanctuary at 7:30pm.

Note: we were unable to record this Friday's message, but will record part 2 next week!
