Recap: Christmas Party

A little wind and a lot of rain didn't keep us from having an amazing CHRISTMAS PARTY on Friday night with our Bridge family. We got there early to set up and add a pop of color to the tables.

Two of the girls made an awesome Christmas tree out of wrapping paper, so that we would have a place to put our exchange gifts.

Thomas, T and PTJ set up the sound and wore their best "ugly" Christmas clothes.

We had an abundance of food for our party: pizza, ham, meatballs, cheeseburger pasta, chicken tortilla soup, chili, salad, blueberry cheesecake, cake, cookies and more.

We also set up a photo booth and the Madlangbayan fam tested it out!

All of the instax pictures came out so cute.

The ladies led us in a lovely worship set of Christmas carols.

Christine won for best ugly Christmas sweater (green world map sweater with a 3D Santa decoration sewn on). Jessica's red sweater lit up!

Once everyone had a chance to eat, we play Christmas bingo. Each person had to go around and collect signatures onto squares of things such as: loves eggnog, has never been to the snow, opens presents at midnight, etc. It was a great interactive ice breaker.

Next up was our best game of the night: Oreo cookie face relay. Each team member had to get an Oreo from their forehead to their mouth using only their face muscles. It was hilarious to watch and we had some serious competition going on, not to mention oreos crumbled all over the floor.

We also had a team vs. team Christmas carol singing competition. We gave a key word: JOY, PEACE, JESUS, NIGHT and each team had to sing a line of a song that included the key word.

To wrap up the night, we stood in one huge circle and did a gift exchange. The cool thing about our gift exchange was that every gift was worth only $1. Everyone got a gift at the end and the items ranged from cool mugs to a box of tissue. It was so much fun to see the hilarious gifts.

This has got to be one of the best gifts. A shirt someone had gotten last year at the exchange that they saved to bring for this year. Paul was the winner!

Praise God we have such a loving church family to celebrate this time of year with. We will be on break next Friday 12/30 but will resume in January. MERRY CHRISTMAS and remember, JESUS is the reason for the season!
