At the end of March, we joined Calvary Coastline in our first annual young adult getaway. It was super awesome that it was held locally, with SIX Calvary Chapel Church's from the area.

Friday afternoon, folks began to arrive to The Beatbox LA! Noella, Christine and Adrienne welcomed in folks and pointed out good spots for them to park.

Thomas was inside helping with set up, getting everything in place for a powerful night that included worship, a message, a coffee cart and special performances on stage.

All smiles from The Bridge ladies.

Pastor Randolph (Coastline), Pastor Dennis (CCSouthBay), Pastor Wilfredo (Ventura) and Anthony (The Bridge) snapped a pic together. The three pastors go WAY back in both their friendships and their ministries. They warmly welcome in Ant as part of their crew.

Friday night we got to taste BrĂ¼ders coffee. They are a local coffee making company comprised of two brothers who love Jesus.

Friday night worship set was Anson Sexton and his band and it was a great time of praising God and setting our hearts right before Him.

Pastor Dennis shared a message about seeking God for our personal 2017 vision.

We had a time of prayer at the end of the message.

BY 10pm, we were still going strong with a spoken word by Arturo, original song by Noella, rap testimony by Arlen and poem by Stacie.

What a way to testify of God's goodness and wrap up night 1!

Saturday morning this crew went on a hike nearby the hotel. Most of them only got 3 hours of sleep and still got up to enjoy nature.

We had a nice continental breakfast at 8:30am and more coffee to wake us up.

Coastline led Saturday morning's worship set.

And the pastor that shared the Saturday morning session was Garid Beeler, from Vision City Church.

Before the end of the morning session, everyone prayed for Pastor Garid and his family.

After the morning session we had Costo pizza for lunch, quiet time spent with Jesus and then a few hours of FREE time. The dudes ended up on the basketball court, but there was also a chance to go to Venice Beach. One group did a scavenger hunt in Venice that had an element of evangelism as part of the hunt.

We came back to The Beatbox LA for the Sat evening session and a final group photo at the end of the night. The retreat was a chance to hear from God and experience His hand at work in our lives and in the lives of others. It was powerful, recharging and exhilarating. Until next year!
