We had a special night on Friday, a talent show! Members of The Bridge were able to share their talents with everyone in attendance. Our main goal was to give God glory!
Before the night began, a group was practicing a drama that they would perform later in the night.
We got started right at 7:30pm because we had a lot of acts to get through that night.
Before and after the talent show, folks were able to grab some grub from our hospitality table. We had an amazing spread of food: pancit, Rascals meat, rice and salad, bean dip with chips, fruit tarts, etc. Everyone was able to fill their bellies.
T opened the night with a welcome and an encouragement and then we began with a few songs of worship to set our hearts right before God.
Justin Boston was our opening act and he shared an original piece. It was a rap song, set to a beat that he created. It was awesome!
Next up, we had Cesar, Demetria, Jeffrey, Darline and Steven share a beautiful song with us. And then Steven performed an original song that he wrote.
Next, Stacie come up and share a poem she wrote called, "To My 20 Year Old Self."
Johnny followed with an incredible spoken word.
Up next, Jessica, Adrienne and Christine sang a song called, "Say His Name" (Jesus). That song gave us a good laugh as it was a new arrangement of the secular song, "Say My Name."
To close the individual performances for the night, Arturo shared a deep felt spoken word and Noella sang an original song. Both were so powerful!
Our very final act was a drama called, "Set Me Free." The skit showed the battle between the Devil and Jesus and how Jesus' power can overcome the sin in our lives.
Just after the drama, T came up and shared the gospel message and then we closed the night with a worship song. It was such a great time, and we hope to do another show by the end of the year.
Thanks to all our friends who came out, supported the artists, and brought food to share. We love getting together with each of you on Friday nights.
